Our donors and supporters' generosity has gone a long way during the third quarter and has made such a difference in the lives of our CITY DOGS

Friends spent nearly $52,000 in total during the third quarter 88% of that directly supported the dogs and programs at the kennel $36,000 of that total went to medical care for our CITY DOGS.

-51 dogs received medical care during the quarter
-46 were spayed/neutered

In addition to medical needs:

-The big red van transported 16 dogs to partner rescues traveling over 2,400 miles .
-Five dogs received sponsored training
-We purchased countless treats and long lasting chews
-We provided enrichment supplies to help make every dog’s stay at the kennel a little better.

Thank you to our wonderful supporters for helping keep Cleveland's adoptable dogs happy and healthy while they wait for their forever homes.

We are incredibly thankful for our rescue partners locally and across the country.
Last month 10 city dogs traveled all the way to the east coast.  Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA took in 8 dogs, and 2 dogs headed to New Hampshire SPCA. This transport freed up valuable space at the kennel and gave those 10 dogs another chance for a forever home. Just last week Bongo was adopted from NHSPCA!

We can't forget to thank the dedicated City Dogs Cleveland volunteers who made the drive to give our city dogs another lease on life.

These long haul transports wouldn't be possible without our amazing donors. Your support provides the funding for:
-Clifford the big red van
-gas/tolls
-health certificates for the pups

CITY DOGS Cleveland alumni, Honey (formally known as Bunny) arrived at CACC with heartworm disease last year. After receiving her lifesaving treatment, during her recovery period, her pawrents noticed she wasn’t feeling well and was concerned she was having side effects from the treatment. They took her to the vet where Honey ended up having to spend 48 hours in intensive care because she was in fact having a severe and rare reaction to the die-off of the heartworms.
Due to this unexpected and expensive vet visit, Honey’s pawrents reached out to see if Friends could possibly provide assistance.

Friends of course said yes, and that’s because of the continued support, generosity and love from all of you!
We are elated to report that Honey got her six month check up recently and is HEARTWORM FREE, living her best life with her pawrents who simply adore her. #fortheloveofcitydogscle #citydogscle #ikickedheartwormsbutt

Friends of CITY DOGS supporters unleashed generosity yesterday by contributing to our mission with a collective effort that raised $5,000 through online and Facebook donations. What can $5,000 do? For example, $5,000 can save the lives of 10 dogs by allowing us to purchase 10 heartworm-saving treatments! THANK YOU to everyone that donated and to those that created their own social media fundraisers.
