The blanket shelves are fully stocked thanks to the incredible students in the seventh and eighth-grade religion classes at Saint Ambrose Catholic School in Brunswick. These amazing students made 40 cozy blankets for the adoptable City Dogs Cleveland and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Your kindness means warmer nights, and comfort for the pups, waiting for their forever homes. Thank you for supporting our dogs in such a heartfelt way.

Earlier this year, we shared the story of Chuck the Bagel and his amazing owner, Maggie.

Yesterday, Maggie and her family stopped by the kennel to drop off a large crate stuffed with goodies for the City Dogs Cleveland! 

In lieu of gifts for her 18th birthday, Maggie asked for donations to support the dogs. Not only was it her special day, but her beloved pup Chuck celebrated his gotcha day! 

We also received a very generous monetary donation to help continue caring for dogs in need. With more than 60 dogs coming in this week, these donations couldn’t have come at a better time. 

Thank you, Maggie and Chuck, for your kindness and compassion!

We thought you could use a heartwarming story on this dreary Thursday! We recently received a donation accompanied by a letter from a 21-year-old goldfish. 

Yes, you read that right! Ringo’s family and friends threw him a birthday party, and since goldfish don’t need much, Ringo requested that guests make a donation to support the City Dogs Cleveland adoption and volunteer program instead.

Thank you, Ringo (and your awesome humans), for thinking of us and helping support the dogs at the kennel!

We’re sending a huge thank you to Tony and Jodi from The Westside Buzz, who walked an incredible 20 miles on a warm, sunny Saturday to raise funds in support of the City Dogs Cleveland program! 

If you live in the Cleveland area and aren’t already following The Westside Buzz, head over to their socials and give them a follow, so you don’t miss anything that’s going on! 

Thanks to their efforts and the generosity of supporters, over $6,600 was raised to help us and Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center continue our missions.

Last month, 2 Hounds Design hosted a Christmas in July special, and sweet little Raven and the rest of the City Dogs Cleveland couldn’t be happier!
Every time our dogs go out for a run, hike, or adventure, they’re suited up in their Freedom Harnesses. So you can imagine how thrilled we were by the generosity of our community!
Thanks to our incredible donors, we received 42 harnesses with matching leashes and 14 martingale collars and 2 Hounds Design sweetened the deal with all kinds of bonus goodies!
A huge tail-wagging thank-you to Robyn, Kathleen, Katherine, Amy, Jenny, Michelle, Sarah, and Maggie & Chuck the Bagel for making this possible!

Adoptable City Dogs Cleveland Amelia stopped by Orange Rose Apothecary to say thank you for their generous support! 

Last month, they hosted a special trunk show featuring Gai Russo, donating a portion of their weekend sales to benefit Friends of CITY DOGS Cleveland. We’re so grateful for local businesses like theirs who help make a difference for our dogs!

Our buddy Sam the Brindle Pit has done it again! This amazing pup is donating a portion of sticker sales to Friends of CITY DOGS Cleveland, helping support the dogs still waiting for their forever homes.
Adopted from City Dogs Cleveland in 2022, Sam’s been on a roll ever since! Sam has been perfecting his dock diving skills and stealing hearts everywhere he goes! When he’s not winning awards, he’s testing out new doggie products like a pro.

Thank you for making the 2025 City Dogs Run Cleveland 5K a huge success!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all 503 participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who made this year’s event truly unforgettable. It was an amazing day filled with energy and generosity, and to think it was all to support the homeless dogs of Cleveland.

 We hope you had as much fun as we did and we can’t wait to see you again next year

Occasionally, we receive donations from donors with interesting names that pique our curiosity. Over the past several months, we have received donations from Chuck the Bagel which left us wondering who Chuck the Bagel is.

We recently discovered that the donations came from a 17-year-old girl named Maggie. She works at Dunkin' Donuts and donates all her tip money to help our beloved CITY DOGS. She has a beagle (they call him a bagel) named Chuck who was found as a stray in Euclid and is now her pride and joy.

Adoptable Quasi would like to help us thank Your Corporate Concierge for this huge haul of donations! During their 4th Annual Betty White Drive, this amazing supporter collected thousands of items at local businesses for our beloved City Dogs Cleveland and other local shelters.
Another big thanks to all the local businesses that collected items and to Berea Moving & Storage Co. who brought the goodies to the Cleveland Kennel last week.
